Hospital furniture supplier fit for Basildon Hospital

David Bailey Furniture Systems has won a major £500,000 contract to supply and install hospital furniture from its Healthline range at Basildon Hospital.

The project win was the result of a competitive bid. David Bailey Furniture Systems is manufacturing, supplying and fitting a range of specialised medical furniture and fixtures and fittings for the brand new cardio-thoracic centre at the hospital, which is spread over five floors.

Fitted hospital furniture

The fitted furniture includes units, worktop, shelving, storage systems, all counters and reception desks, as well as mirrors, hooks and specialist equipment. All doors and drawers will be white with 2mm PVC lipping. The worktop will be 40mm bull-nosed laminate with a post-formed moulded up-stand.

The architect for the project is Nightingale Associates, with HBG Construction the main contractors for this part of the Basildon job.
