Hospital reception furniture

Hospital reception furniture

We offer high quality, bespoke reception desks and nurses’ stations, allowing you the freedom to create designs to suit your hospital environment.

The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) requires that reception desks are accessible to disabled and non-disabled individuals. When designing your nurses' stations, provision should be made for incorporating suitable access from both standing and seated positions, i.e. wheelchair access.

The British Standard BS 8300:2001 provides guidance on designing hospitals to meet the needs of disabled people and, more specifically, offers advice on the suitable dimensions for hospital reception desks.

For further information on our bespoke nurses' station service, or advice on the BS 8300:2001 guidelines, contact us now or use our free call back service at the top of this page.
